CONSTRUCTION NOTICE

30 Street SE Utility Upgrades

The City of Salmon Arm will be undertaking utility improvements on 30 Street SE, which will require closure of 30 Street between 10 Ave & 20 Ave SE, starting April 1, with re-opening scheduled for April 8, 2024.
The closure will require a detour using 20 Street SE as an alternate route. Please refer to the map on the reverse side of this notice.
During the closure, the City Contractor will undertake replacement of the aging watermain at the south side of the intersection at 10 Avenue SE, and north of 20 Avenue SE. Local traffic (residents on 30 Street) will be able to access properties via the south end of 30 Street north of 20 Avenue. No access across 10 Avenue will be permitted.
The BC Transit stop currently located at the Broadview Mobile Villa will be temporally closed. Transit users will be required to use the alternate stop  located on Auto Road just west of 30 Street SE.
Staff will work with our Contractor to accommodate emergency service vehicle access past the construction site where possible. We appreciate your cooperation and will attempt to minimize disruption to traffic and residences while this important project is underway.
