Common Bylaw Violations
The following are the most common bylaws that require enforcement: 
- The Animal Bylaw (PDF) regulates the keeping of certain animals.- Bylaw #2498 is an update to the Fee for Service Bylaw that outlines the Dog Impoundment Fees. 
- Bylaw #2760 is an amended Ticket Information Utilization for No Dog Licence and Failure to remove excrement. - Common violations include:- Barking dogs

- Un-licensed dogs
- Vicious dogs / dog attacks
- Dogs off leash
- No dog licence

- The Noise Bylaw (PDF) regulates noise.- Common violations include: - Construction noise
- Sound Amplification on private premises or public places

- The Sign Bylaw (PDF) regulates the number, size, type, form appearance and location of signs.- Common violations include: - Signs on City Property
- Signs without a permit
 
 
- The Snow Removal Bylaw (PDF) requires the owner or occupier of a property to remove snow, ice or rubbish from the sidewalks, footpaths and boulevards bordering on the property located in the downtown.

- The Property Maintenance Bylaw (PDF) regulates property maintenance and unsightly conditions.- Common violations include: - Unsightly premises
