CONSTRUCTION NOTICE
30 Street and 10 Avenue SE Utility Upgrades – Final Works
The City of Salmon Arm will be undertaking the final phase of the utility improvements on 30 Street SE, and 10 Avenue at 33 Street, which will require closure of 30 Street between 10 Ave & 20 Ave SE for SOUTHBOUND traffic, and 33 Street at 10 Avenue. Work is scheduled to start 7:00AM Monday May 27, with re-opening scheduled for end of day Wednesday May 29, 2024. During the closure, the City Contractor will undertake connection of the new watermain to the City water distribution system.
The closure will require a detour for 30 Street southbound traffic using 20 Street SE as an alternate route, and for 10 Avenue traffic using 8 Avenue through to 37 Street. Please refer to the maps included with this notice.
Local traffic (residents on 30 Street) will be able to access properties via the south end of 30 Street north of 20 Avenue. No southbound access across 10 Avenue will be permitted. 10 Avenue westbound will remain open, using the southern lane past the construction zone. The BC Transit stop currently located at the Broadview Mobile Villa will be temporally closed. Transit users will be required to use the alternate stop located on Auto Road just west of 30 Street SE.
