ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
The City of Salmon Arm is seeking four (4) Citizens-At-Large, including one (1) member from the mobility aid community and one (1) senior citizen, with professional or personal interest in Active Transportation to join the Active Transportation Advisory Committee for a term of two (2) years, with an anticipated commencement of September 1, 2023.
The Committee acts as an advisory body and resource group to City Council and Administration regarding ways to identify and review strategies that work towards quantifiable goals for:
- Implementing the Active Transportation Network Plan (ATNP)
- Increasing Active Transportation mode share
- Working towards zero traffic related fatalities or injury on City roads
The Committee undertakes activities and projects with City Council’s support or direction.
The Terms of Reference and Application for this Committee are available for review at City Hall or on the City website.
Council will select and appoint committee members.

Interested individuals should submit a written application, complete with resume and a brief statement outlining what you feel you can contribute to the Committee. Applications must be received prior to 4:00 p.m. on August 18, 2023.
