The City of Salmon Arm is pleased to announce that it has adopted an exciting new Visitor Services Strategy and will be moving forward with implementation immediately. The strategy will not only allow the City to provide excellent visitor services and support shoulder season experiences, it will improve strategic alignment to maximize spend value, transition from a single to omni channel model and increase spend, stay and repeat visits in Salmon Arm and the Shuswap.
Mayor Alan Harrison emphasized that “this is the beginning of a new chapter for Visitor Services in our community and we are ready to try, test, learn and adapt during this critical time. We recognize the effect COVID-19 has had on our tourism industry and wish to provide supports that are responsive to the specific needs of not only our visitors but also local business and tourism stakeholders.”
