The City of Salmon Arm is seeking one (1) Citizen at Large to volunteer serving on the Community Heritage Commission for the remainder of a three (3) year term expiring August 26, 2025. Membership on the Commission includes one member of City Council, three citizen-at-large representatives and three representatives of the R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum. The Bylaw to establish a Community Heritage Commission is available for review at City Hall or on the City website.
The Commission acts as an advisory body and resource group to City Council and Administration on heritage conservation matters and provides support for the benefit and advancement of heritage conservation in the City.
The Community Heritage Commission typically meets monthly.
City Council will select and appoint Commission members. Membership on the Commission is on a voluntary basis.

Interested individuals should submit a written application, complete with a brief statement outlining your background in heritage preservation and planning, and what you can contribute to the Commission. Applications will be received prior to 4:00 p.m. on September 20, 2024.
