Salmon Arm’s First FireSmart Activity Day2019-06-15T08:00:00The City of Salmon Arm will be holding a volunteer activity day to demonstrate FireSmart procedures and help reduce the wildfire hazard in Little Mountain Park and adjacent area. Volunteers will be removing the flammable debris and forest slash from off the ground, thinning out the understory and limbing the lower branches of remaining trees. This activity will reduce the likelihood of intense fire behavior, increase forest health and create a more open park like landscape.
