At the April 13, 2015 meeting, Council received and passed the final
2015 Budget. As you will see in the
finance report Salmon Arm residents will see a 1.9% tax increase. However, with the reduction in solid waste management (garbage) charges due to the Multi-Materials BC (MMBC) contract the overall tax increase will be pretty much offset by the MMBC savings for the average single family home.
Another item to note in the report is the reduction in some tax assessments. We were able to stick to the original tax increased decided last fall but Council will be starting the 2016 Budget with a $189,000 shortfall.
